Stay passionate in your life

Sometimes we lie in bed in the morning thinking, I don’t want to go to work today. I’ve got so many problems. I’m sick and tired of cleaning this house.

Unfortunately, you just paved the way to have a lousy day. You made preparations for defeat.

When those negative, discouraging thoughts come, you must turn them around. Get your list out and read over it again.

Remind yourself, “I’m alive. I’m healthy. I’ve got a great spouse. I have beautiful children. I have so many good things.”

Put that list on your bathroom mirror, on your desk, or some place where you can see it throughout the day.

Read over it occasionally as you go about your normal routine, and it will help you to stay excited about your life.

Another important key to fanning your passion is to keep fresh goals before you. Some people have lost their passion for life simply because they’re not pursuing anything.

But understand that God created us to be always reaching for something beyond where we are presently.

If you live with low motivation, few dreams, and no realistic goals, you are bound to become stagnant.

On the other hand, if you will continue to pursue a new goal, it will keep you fresh and excited about life.

Your goal needn’t be lofty or grandiose. It may be a goal to finish school, or to be a better parent, or to increase your income. Still, have something out in front of you.

Always be growing and never allow yourself to become complacent.

After you accomplish one goal, immediately set another.

 Keep moving;

keep looking for new challenges.

If you’re not healthy, have a dream to get healthy. If you’re in debt, let your dream be, “I’m going to get out of debt and be a blessing to others as well.” Then get up each day knowing that you’re pressing toward that goal.

What are you focused on today?

Are you becoming a better you?

Is there peace in your home and in your heart and mind?

Are you happy, at rest, and enjoying life?

We need to realize that this day is unique and irreplaceable. We need to make the most of it, and live like it could be our last.

Let me share a story,i read somewhere which might be best for our conversation......

An elderly couple I knew were tremendous role models, always smiling and encouraging other people, and everyone loved them—especially the young people. Moreover, after decades of marriage, they still treated each other with honor and respect.

In her mid-eighties, the woman went home to be with the Lord. At the funeral, her husband, also an octogenarian, told an interesting story.

He said, “About fifteen years ago, I had a heart attack. When my wife came to the hospital, she said, ‘Honey, this just shows us how fragile life really is.You could have died.’

She said, ‘From now on, every night before we go to bed, I want us to kiss seven times just to show how much we love each other, just to show that we’re not taking each other for granted.’

And so, for these last fifteen or twenty years, we never went to sleep without kissing seven times.”

Don’t you love that? That woman lived every day like it could be her last. She went to be with the Lord on a Tuesday, but Monday night, she kissed her husband seven times.

Monday night, she told him how much she loved him. And when her life was over, she had no regrets. She made every day special.

The last day of her life, she lived it loving, caring, at peace, and enjoying every moment. That’s the way I want to live.

Friend, this day is a gift, so make the most of it. Shake off anything that hints of self-pity or discouragement and find some reason to be grateful.
